This article is for fellow Christians. Let's get straight to the point. Do you weep and mourn for the sins of the World? I mean real tears for the lost who trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. Have you ever cried for those dying in their sins? Don't you feel it? The overwhelming agony of knowing billions of souls don't trust in Jesus, don't care about their sin, don't even believe they have sin, and don't want to believe. Jesus is God, the Savior, the Word, the Light, the Beginning and the End. But the World treats Jesus like a fairy tale or a "good teacher" (whatever that is). Oh, how wrong they are. People stand at the edge of the fire but feel no heat, on the edge of a cloud but smell no smoke, on the precipice of the pit but feel no fear! They say, "How dare you call me a sinner!" We as Christians should dare to tell people. Or they say, "That's intolerant!" Well, God is not tolerant of sin! We should be brave enough to tell people the truth. Or they say, "That's not a loving thing to say!" Well, I say it is a loving thing to say. Speaking truth is a loving thing to do. Casting a life preserver to a drowning man is a loving thing to do. Pulling a man from a burning building is a loving thing to do.

So why is the World so numb to the danger? People continue to do wrong and do not see God. Often they do not want to see God. The grace is there, but they refuse to see. People turn their backs on God and walk away.

"...whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them." (2 Corintians 4:4)

When good things come their way they say, "We did this for ourselves!", but when calamity strikes they accuse God and say, "God did this to us!" They create their own sense of righteousness.

"Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness." (Romans 10:3)

​

We Christians sit around and do nothing to reach them. We are content with our own salvation, but do nothing to help someone else find it. That is selfish! Oh, I suppose some help, but most do nothing. Perhaps they are lukewarm and think it is someone else's job to tell them. Or they are afraid to say anything. Remember, as a believer, you are only responsible for your obedience to God, not someone's opinion of you. Yet the lost continue to be condemned!

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18)

This should make us Christians very sad for the lost. We should feel something! If you say you're a Christian but feel nothing for the lost, you better check your faith! Maybe you aren't saved after all. You should feel what God feels. We should grieve and mourn for the World and all the horrible things done in it. This is the heart of God. This is the type of Christian we you should be.

“Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.” (Ezekiel 9:4)

​

You should long for Jesus to return and put an end to sin and death. But in the meantime you should be busy about the Lord's work. After all, God created man for his pleasure, because God wants man to love Him back. To have a real relationship with Him. We should want that for others!

“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

​

"Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” (Isaiah 43:7)

​

God wants to literally walk with us! After all, "And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..." (Genesis 3:8) And we will if we continue in the faith until the end. You should want the lost of the world to experience this salvation.

 

Do what you can to bring people to Jesus. Be like Andrew!

"Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus." (John 1:40-42)

​

The lost are ignorant of God because of the hardness of their own hearts. Help soften their hearts. Show them the truth.

​

"They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts." (Ephesians 4:18)

​

God still loves the lost dearly, but the choice is theirs. Let's help them make the correct choice! After all, God takes no pleasure in the wicked dying and going to Hell.

"Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked." (Ezekiel 33:11)

​

Go be a light to the World. Do something! Oh, you don't know how? I bet you do. What are you afraid of...offending someone? Well, would you rather offend God or man? Be brave! Make your Father in Heaven pleased with you. Do the work and store up treasure in Heaven.

"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." (Matthew 6:20)

​

God is counting on we Christians to reach the lost. The Great Commission isn't optional for us.

​

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
